Codiun Rail Limited was initially formed in 2015 by a group of like minded individuals to develop a range of temporary rail joint and rail defect clamps for the worldwide rail market sectors. The company commenced design and development of product following several requests from leading UK track maintenance and renewal companies to Mr Ian Dixon, the appointed company's Managing Director, for a better engineering solution than the then currently accepted and readily available for use legacy rail clamps.

Ian has a background of working within the permanent way maintenance area of rail operations having been a supplier of maintenance tools, consumables and equipment to rail companies worldwide since 1994. In particular he has been recognised as a leading supplier of temporary rail joint and rail defect clamps having overseen the manufacture and distribution of legacy clamps from the year 2000 to date.

Having a knowledge of the inherent performance and safety issues experienced when installing legacy rail clamps, Ian along with the assistance of a team of dedicated design engineers had manufactured several revolutionary and ground breaking clamp profiles for use in a variety of applications which have been detailed as greatly required by the Codiun Rail Limited list of customers gained since inception.
